Awards
The NPC grants awards in a very broad spectrum of journalism categories. These are spelled out in the Awards Qualifications/Entry Form. A special form is required for the Online Journalism Award.
Awards are given in the areas of consumer reporting, Washington correspondence, press criticism, regional, diplomatic and environmental reporting, online journalism, freedom of the press, political journalism, animal reporting, and geriatric writing.
The Eric A. Friedheim Travel Journalism Awards
Created to honor superior travel writing, the Eric Friedheim Travel Journalism Awards will be given in three categories for articles in 2009: Print, Broadcast and Online.
The contest is open to all journalists whose work is published by a recognized print, broadcast or online outlet. Submissions may cover any aspect of travel journalism, including industry, experiences and adventures, and consumer reporting.
