The press played a major role in the emergence of the civil rights movement, but it took time, guts and talent to develop. Gene Roberts, a Pulitzer Prize winning editor and National Press Club Fourth Estate Award recipient, and Hank Klibanoff, managing editor of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, discuss the press' coverage of the civil rights movement at an NPC Book Rap, Wednesday, Jan. 17 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Outside books are not allowed, however persons who purchased the book at the NPC Book Fair and had it autographed by Klibanoff will be permitted entry with their copy for Roberts signature.
