Getting Hands On with LinkedIn

You probably already have a LinkedIn account, but are you making the most of it? This session will help you to do the following:

• Develop a complete profile that will help you find connections and be found


• Increase the number of connections in your network by 10 times or more


• Leverage groups to learn about and discuss your industry


• Research potential employers and hiring managers to prepare for networking events and interviews


• Avoid embarrassing networking faux pas and instead focus your efforts where they matter


• Schedule informational interviews to expand your real life network


• Round out your profile by giving and getting recommendations


• Continuously improve your LinkedIn presence using tools such as Rapportive and Gist
