Gina McCarthy, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, will address a National Press Club breakfast at <strong>9 a.m. on Sept. 20</strong>.

McCarthy was confirmed as President Barack Obama’s second EPA chief in July. The environmental health expert had served as assistant administrator since the beginning of Obama’s presidency. She recently argued that climate change is not just an environmental problem but also a threat to U.S. economic prosperity.

 Breakfast will be served at 8:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 9 a.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $21 for Press Club members ( NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $35 for all other non-member tickets.
