Manufacturing: Deliver the Promise
Bridging the Gap Between Perception and Reality of U.S. Manufacturing
To deliver on the promise of manufacturing, Pennsylvania-based global manufacturer, Kennametal Inc. Chairman, President and CEO, Carlos Cardoso, will explain why he and his industry peers need to more clearly articulate their success stories and educate young workers about viable careers in manufacturing. Joined by Stephen Gold, President and CEO of the Manufacturing Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI), Carlos will share the results of a new nationwide study indicating most Americans believe there are no manufacturing jobs available and the future is dim for the industry.
Students from Greater Latrobe High School who are part of the Kennametal Foundation’s Young Engineers Program will be on-hand to share their experiences learning about the ever-evolving and growing manufacturing industry and how it may shape their future career choices.
Find out why this is a critical time to bridge the gap between perception and reality of the manufacturing industry and how Kennametal is leading the way to empower the next generation of workers.
