LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER’S: A JOURNEY OF CARING
World Alzheimer’s Report 2013 Release & Roundtable Discussion

This event, hosted by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) and Home Instead Senior Care, will address the need for support for family members caring for those with Alzheimer’s. It‘s one of three occurring in international capitals, including London and Beijing, to address the disease’s global impact during World Alzheimer’s Month, Sept. 2013.

In D.C., influential healthcare professionals, nonprofits, government officials, journalists, opinion leaders and family caregivers will gather to discuss families’ needs today and find a cure for tomorrow. They will examine: the impact on families; support gaps; resources for affected individuals; and best practices for governments, healthcare providers, nonprofits and the private sector to support families and people with the disease. To inform the discussions, ADI will provide attendees advance copies of its annual The World Alzheimer’s Report – this year’s focused on Alzheimer’s care.
