Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, who currently serves as Chairman of Good360, will speak at a National Press Club Luncheon on Monday, July 1. Her speech is titled “American Innovation -- Leadership in the 21st Century.”
Fiorina is best known as having been one of the most powerful women in American business, leading H-P, and was an executive with Lucent Technologies, the telecommunications equipment spin-off of AT&T. She is now Chairman of Good360, billed as the world’s largest product philanthropy organization. She ran unsuccessfully as a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate representing California, attempting to unseat incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Fiorina also held prominent positions in the John McCain and Mitt Romney presidential campaigns.
A survivor of breast cancer, Fiorina is the author of a book titled “Tough Choices, A Memoir.”
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $21 for Club members and $35 for non-members.
