Taylor, a singer-songwriter and guitarist, is a five-time Grammy Award winner. His first breakthrough hit came in 1970 with "Fire and Rain," and many other million-selling hits followed. He was inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000. He is a recipient of the National Medal of Arts and the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French Government.
The formal program, which includes a question-and-answer session, begins promptly at 1 p.m. and concludes at 2 p.m. The event will be held in the National Press Club ballroom 13th floor, National Press Building, 529 -14th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
