Education Secretary Duncan to Discuss Outlook for Education Reform
US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will take stock of current education reform efforts and look at what’s ahead at a National Press Club luncheon on Tuesday, July 27th.
Secretary Duncan characterizes education as the “Quiet Revolution,” with a range of reforms underway at the state and local level. The Secretary, who has had unprecedented resources to drive change, will also discuss the proper federal role in education reform, and President Obama’s vision for education reform for the remainder of his term.
The National Press Club luncheon will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Remarks will begin just after 1:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session. Cost of luncheon admission is $17 for National Press Club members, $28 for their guests and $35 for general admission.
