Ted Turner, chairman of Ted Turner Enterprises and CNN founder, will join T. Boone Pickens, founder of BP Capitol, to debate American energy policy during a joint luncheon, Tuesday, April 19.
Pickens will outline his “Pickens Plan” to reduce America’s dependence on Middle East oil through alternate energy sources, such as wind, solar power, and natural gas. Turner will discuss renewable solar energy, including his recent solar projects in New Mexico and Atlanta, as well as nuclear disarmament and global politics.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. with the speeches beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. This event is sold out. However, a live webcast will appear on this page.
