The Events Committee presents “Surveillance in America: Its Ramifications and Proliferations; Their Impact on You and Everyone, Everyday” on March 30th, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Holeman Lounge.

This event is a scientific, non-partisan overview of the who, what, when, where and why of surveillance in the United States by global expert and longtime member of the intelligence community, William F. Eyre, Ph.D. Dr. Eyre will discuss the volume and complexity of thousands of pages of statutes and arcane regulations relating to citizens’ privacy, as well as identifying who is under surveillance, who is doing the surveillance, what equipment is used, when surveillance occurs, and where and why it occurs.

Dr. Eyre’s education and career have been dedicated to international terrorism, cryptography, biometrics, cybersecurity, and computer forensics. He is the first interdisciplinary doctoral graduate in Information Security from Purdue University’s Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS).
