Meat Lovers' Dinner on Tap for May 21 May 19, 2013

A multi-course dinner with certified Angus beef dinner and paired wines from Rodney Strong is on tap at the Fourth Estate restaurant on Tuesday, May 21.

The meal will feature beef-focused hors d'oeuvres, including beef satay and flatiron steak. Four beef-themed courses include a soup, a grilled Certified Angus Hanger steak salad, a surf and turf course, and as a main dish, the king of beef, a certified Angus prime rib.

Each course will be paired with an appropriate wine from Strong, a renowned Sonoma County winemaker whose bold reds are the perfect match for great beef.

This Week in National Press Club History May 19, 2013

May 21, 1985: After 33 months of reconstruction, a dedication ceremony for the completely renovated National Press Building is celebrated, nearly six decades after the original building cornerstone was laid in 1926. Two time capsules full of Club momentoes are placed behind a new cornerstone next to the old one, and both are encased in the lobby wall next to the building’s main entrance on 14th Street NW.

Did You Know? Free Parking Available When Members Dine at the Club May 19, 2013

All members of the National Press Club receive complimentary evening and weekend parking at the PMI garage on G Street when they dine at the Reliable Source or Fourth Estate restaurants. Members who are using any of the other Club facilities at night or on Saturday can purchase a discounted parking sticker for $5 at the front desk.
