FDIC Chair Bair to address efforts to stabilize tumultuous financial sector at NPC luncheon June 24

Sheila C. Bair, the 19th chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, will address a National Press Club luncheon on Friday, June 24.

Bair, appointed by President George W. Bush, ends her five-year term on July 8. She will reflect on her tenure during a tumultuous period for the nation's financial sector and her work to bolster public confidence and system stability.

Luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. with the speech beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $18 for Press Club members, $29 for guests of members, and $36 for general admission. To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Payment is required at the time
