Guidelines posted for participating in Club members' Aug. 31-Sept. 28 photo exhibit

Anyone who ever carried a camera has favorite photographs that capture moments, scenes, people, or places in unique or special ways. If you have special photos, start collecting them now for the annual National Press Club members photography exhibit, Aug. 31 to Sept. 28, 2018.

Detailed guidelines for displaying your photos in print and electronic formats are now available for download from the Photography Team's web page, here.

The annual exhibit is a celebration of members' visual storytelling talents. It is not a contest, nor are there judges or prizes. Members should submit top-quality pictures, both aesthetically and technically, for display in the Club's lobby. Printed photos will be hung on fabric panels, with electronic images shown nearby on big display screens in continuous slideshows.

The guidelines spell out requirements for picture submission and display, as well as key dates and deadlines.

Members may submit up to six different pictures that haven't been displayed in previous exhibits, with up to two photos in the print display and four images in electronic format. The same pictures can be submitted as print photos and electronic images.

Plan on submitting your print photos and electronic images between between Monday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 24.

Learn more about this year's exhibit at the next Photography Team meeting, on Wednesday, May 23 at 12 noonin the Cosgrove Lounge Photo Team co-chair Alan Kotok will review the guidelines and answer questions about the event from team members and others.
