Tickets still available for U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh, April 23

U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh will discuss the future of the Air Force a National Press Club breakfast on Wednesday, April 23.

Tickets may be purchased online by clicking here.

Welsh took the helm for the Air Force in August 2012. Before his appointment, he was Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and oversaw the operations of the Air Force base in Ramstein, Germany.

Welsh, alongside Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James, created a program for victims of sexual abuse. Since its implementation earlier this year, there has been a 33% increase in assault reports and prosecution.

Welsh has recently testified at a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense hearing on the FY2015 Air Force budget, including plans to cut the A-10 Thunderbolt II and U-2 fleets.

Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m., with remarks beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets cost $22 for Press Club members. NPC Members may purchase two tickets at this rate. All other tickets cost $36.

For questions, please email [email protected] or call 202-662–7501. Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase.

To submit a question in advance, put WELSH in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 8 a.m. on the day of the breakfast.
