John Mackey, co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market, will discuss his new book "Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business," co-authored with Raj Sisodia, Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 p.m.

A book signing will follow the discussion.

The book explains how companies like Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Costco and The Container Store are transforming how businesses operate. The authors present the fundamental principles and practices of their vision of conscious capitalism: businesses operating from a sense of higher purpose and prospering financially while also generating emotional, social, intellectual, ecological, financial, and spiritual benefits.
