Former Senator and Governor George Allen (R-VA) talked about his book What Washington Can Learn From the World of Sports (Regnery Press, 2010). The son of NFL coach George Allen, Sr., brings the worlds of politics and sports together to show what Washington can learn from the greatest moments (and failures) in sports, as well as from the spirit and principles of fair play, hard work and keeping score. He was interviewed at the 33rd Annual National Press Club Book Fair and Authors' Night, a fundraiser for the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library and The SEED Foundation held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
