Author talks about book profiling American historical figures at American Legion Post 20 meeting today

Author Jennifer London will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of American Legion Post 20, the National Press Club's affiliated post. The talk will take place at noon Wednesday, May 8, in the Cosgrove Lounge.

This will be a hybrid meeting, with those unable to attend in person invited to watch the talk via Zoom.

London plans to discuss her new book, Profiles in Character: Sixteen Americans and the Traits That Defined Them. The Americans profiled in her book include Ronald Reagan, Amelia Earhart, Frederick Douglass, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry Truman.

She holds a doctorate in psychology from Ohio State University, and she completed postdoctoral education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Business. As president of her own consulting firm, she has advised clients on strategic planning, business development, marketing, and community relations.

Post 20 has been affiliated with the Press Club since the post's charter in 1919. It was founded at the urging of famed World War I General John J. Pershing, who was an associate Club member at the time

For those of you attending in person, please bring cash to pay your share of the luncheon bill. There will be no separate checks.
