Books & Brunch to discuss 'On Dupont Circle' at its May 18 meeting

The National Press Club's Books & Brunch group will meet via Zoom at noon Saturday, May 18, to discuss "On Dupont Circle: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and the Progressives Who Shaped Our World," by prize-winning author James Srodes, as its next non-fiction selection.

"On Dupont Circle" describes a social circle of 12 men and women living in the Washington neighborhood in the years before World War I who would go on the shape American life for years to come. They included future Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, political journalist Walter Lippman, the siblings John Foster, Allen and Eleanor Lansing Dulles, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, writer and future Ambassador William Bullitt, and Herbert Hoover.
