Independent authors to get advice on marketing their books, Jan. 11

The Club's independent authors group, an organization for members who are interested in self-publishing their books, will hold its next meeting Thursday, Jan. 11, at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom.

Club member Edward Segal, a public relations consultant, journalist, and bestselling author, will answer questions about how authors can effectively publicize their books and the pitfalls to avoid when promoting their works. Club members can send their questions for Segal before the meeting to [email protected].

Segal’s advice is based on his experience generating publicity for his last three books and working with book publishers and publicists. His fourth book, “Whistle-Stop Politics: Campaign Trains and the Reporters Who Covered Them,” will be published on Feb. 13.  For more information, visit his website.

Interested Club members who are not already on the mailing list for the monthly Zoom meeting can join the group by emailing Jody Beck at [email protected]
