Today: Photo Team meeting will explore nature photography

Alex Snyder, senior photo editor at The Nature Conservancy and director of the group's international photo contest, will be the guest at the next Photography Team meeting, scheduled from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Cosgrove Lounge.

Snyder has served as a photo editor at The Nature Conservancy since 2018, and before that as a photographer for National Geographic and the Peace Corps. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees in photography from Ohio University. He will discuss his group's photo contest and how it supports its advocacy and policy positions.

The session begins with a self-funded lunch from the Reliable Source — both buffet and menu items are available — followed by Snyder's presentation. Remote participants can listen to live audio of the program, with Snyder's slides distributed in advance. The free program is open to National Press Club members but registration is required. Please indicate if you're attending in person or remotely.
