With more than three sources of audio, an audio mixing board and A/V technician to operate it are required to control the audio.

Setup/Strike Fee

Applicable to all audio visual rental.

  • Equipment rental amount under $1500.00: $50.00

  • Each 6'x8' section at 8-inch height: $150.00

Presentation Furniture

Banner Hanging Service

  • May require pipe & drape structure (at additional $50.00): $50.00

Audio-Visual Technician

  • Monday thru Friday during daytime 8am - 5pm at $70 per hour with a 4 hour minimum
  • All other hours and holidays at $80 per hour with a 4 hour minimum

Speaker Timer

  • Countdown multi-function with signal lights at podium or on monitor in back: $200.00

Teleprompter Service

  • Dual glass presidential-type, half-day rate (includes operator): $750.00

Transcription Service

  • Delivered by email, generally within 24 hour/hr $400.00 /1st hr, $300.00/addl hr
  • Including Digital Audio Recording in mp3 format $500.00/1st hr, $350.00/addl hr

Translation Service

  • Consecutive or Simulataneous with booth, wireless audio headsets: call to discuss

Teleconferencing Service

Allow others outside of your event to participate via telephone:

  • Two-way Q&A teleconference service with 25 lines first hour at $1455 including equipment charges for operator, audio mixing board and technician, telephone interface device and connections. Additional 25 lines $375.00 first hour. Each additional hour $150.00, plus $0.25 per minute per line in use.
  • One-way listen-only teleconference service with 25 lines first hour at $825.00 including equipment charges for audio mixing board, telephone interface device and connection. Additional 25 lines $375.00 first hour. Each additional hour $0.25 per minute per line in use.

Press Advisory and Release Distribution

  • Basic Press Conference Calendar Listing Thursday prior to event: Complementary
  • Expanded Calendar Listing with advisory, panelist information, links: $50.00
  • Highlight Event on NPC in Featured Section of www.press.org: $25.00 per day
  • Ad in National Press Club membership e-newsletter, The Wire: $200.00 initial and $125.00 each additional
  • Featured content in "This Week at The National Press Club": $500.00
  • Hand delivery to offices within the National Press Building:
    • 3 pages or less (more than 3 pages is priced per job): $175.00

Photography

We specialize in capturing the necessary shots to convey your event’s message in a timely professional manner. This service can be used for events occurring both inside and out of the Club.

  • Includes photographer and digital upload to FTP site

Studio/Editing Services

Our comfortable, convenient studios are available for interviews and post-event live shots. Editing your event video will transform it into a piece for media outlets and the web, maximizing exposure.

  • AVID/Final Cut Pro edit suite w/ editor (2 hr minimum): $225.00/hr
  • Duplications - DV Cam, DVC Pro, Beta SP, CD, DVD, Hard Drive: $15.00+
  • Studio Shell (4 hrs): $850.00/Large $500.00/Small

Note:

The NPC Audio/Visual and Broadcast departments provide all equipment, services, and technical assistance. No outside audio/visual equipment or broadcast/webcasting services are allowed with the exception of laptops.

Video or audio recording of an event is permitted only by National Press Club staff, credentialed media for the use of their audience, and approved persons by National Press Club management.

All equipment and services are subject to 5.75% D.C. sales tax.
