NPC Book Event
Veteran journalist Dan Morain, who wrote his first story about Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in 1994 for the Los Angeles Times, will discuss his new biography, Kamala's Way: An American Life, at a National Press Club Headliners Book Event at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Jan. 25.
This one-hour program will stream live on the Club’s website and YouTube Channel, and is accessible to both the media and members of the general public free-of-charge.
Kamala's Way, published Jan. 12, takes readers from her early years in Oakland and Berkeley through her rise in politics to the second-highest office in the land, revealing the forces that shaped her worldview, her values and her priorities. Morain, a former reporter for the Los Angeles Times and former editorial director for the Sacramento Bee, also examines the people in her orbit during that rise to power, including California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, and California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Viewers are invited to submit their questions for Morain in advance or during the live program via email to [email protected]. Please put "Kamala" in the subject line.
