Accordion player to accompany Oktoberfest buffet in the Reliable Source, Oct. 18 - Note Corrected Date

The National Press Club will celebrate Oktoberfest in the Reliable Source starting at 5:30 p.m.,Thursday, Oct. 18.

The price of the buffet is $25 for Club members and $32 for nonmembers plus, tax and gratuity. The Oktoberfest dinner, which is open to Club members and their guests, will feature a variety of German and domestic beers and authentic German foods served buffet-style and prepared by Club Executive Chef Susan Delbert. Roy Meyer, a traditional German accordion player, will play beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Bibbelsche Bohnesupp [Saarland bacon, onion and potato soup]

Hot Entrees:
Bratwurst and Knockwurst cooked in sauerkraut; potato rolls and mustard on side
German Cheesy meatballs with caper sauce
Wiener schnitzel [Breaded veal cutlet with lemon]

Vegetables/Starch:
Rotkrautrezept [Red cabbage with red wine and gingerbread seasoning]
Kartoffelpuffer [German potato pancakes]
Edel-Labskaus [Beet and potato puree]

Gurkensalat [Yogurt creamed cucumbers with chives and dill]
