Annual photo exhibit entries open today; deadline: Aug. 16

It's time to enter your best print photos and electronic images into the National Press Club's 20th annual members photo exhibit.

Photos and electronic images for the exhibit are accepted today through Friday, Aug. 16, for display in the Club's 13th floor lobby from Aug. 30 to Sept. 27.

You can submit up to six entries for the exhibit, two print photos and four electronic images. The Club's Photography Committee stages the exhibit and is seeking top-quality electronic images and print photos representing the members' best work.

All pictures must be the member's original work and not displayed in previous National Press Club exhibits. Full guidelines, including deadlines, can be downloaded from the Photo Committee's web page here.

Print photos may have a maximum overall size (print plus mat) of 11 by 14 inches. They can be the same images submitted to the electronic exhibit, or different. Prints must be securely mounted on sturdy mounting board. If matting is used, it must be securely attached.

Improperly mounted or matted photos will not be hung. No glass or frames or canvas prints are permitted. Send or deliver photo prints to the Club's membership office at 529 14th St. NW, 13th floor, Washington, DC 20045.

Electronic images are uploaded with an online form. For each image we ask for a title, but you can also provide a brief description and a more detailed story behind the image, as well as links to related online content, if you wish.

We're collecting this information for an online exhibit catalog to go along with the displays so that print photo participants can tell their stories. Participation in the online catalog is optional. If you only want to submit photos or images, that's fine.

When you send in your photos or images, let your friends on social media know with the hashtag #NPCPhotoEx.
