Apply for grants up to $15K for enterprise business reporting

Applications are now open for the Fall 2016 McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism with a deadline of Dec. 15.

The fellowships, awarded twice a year by the McGraw Center for Business Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, typically grant $5,000 a month for one to three months to experienced journalists to support deeply reported investigative and enterprise stories on critical issues related to U.S. business, the economy and finance.

Previous McGraw Fellows have worked on a wide range of topics, from problems in the fast-growing, unregulated market for diagnostic genetic tests and the questions raised by the Chinese acquisition of a major U.S. food company to online giant Amazon’s difficult expansion into Europe and Silicon Valley’s efforts to build a better (plant-based) burger that could make the meat industry obsolete.
