Apply now! Columbia University offers seminar to promote quality energy reporting, deadline March 31

The Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University is accepting applications from energy journalists for an all-expenses-paid seminar in New York that will acquaint participants with various disciplines associated with the beat, including finance, markets, science, policy and geopolitics.

Funded with support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and Reid Hoffman, a member of the CGEP Advisory Board, the Energy Journalism Initiative aims to promote quality reporting on energy, a topic that is becoming increasingly important and complex.

The Energy Journalism Initiative will feature a seminar in New York on June 20 to June 23, with presentations from academic, business and public-sector specialists.

Journalists who are relatively new to covering energy, with five or fewer years on the beat, are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is March 31.
