Are your photos ready for Members' Photo Exhibit? Submissions period begins Aug. 1

The period for submitting entries for the 17th annual National Press Club Members' Photography Exhibit begins on Monday, Aug. 1, so now's the time to get your photos printed for display.

Entries will be accepted in the Club's membership office on the 13th floor through Friday, Aug. 12.

The exhibit is the Club's annual celebration of photographic talent, by pros and amateurs alike, within its membership ranks. It is not a contest; there are no judges nor prizes awarded. Any Club member can take part.

The full set of exhibit rules and detailed schedule can be downloaded from the Photo Committee Web site by clicking here.

Up to four photos may be entered, with a maximum overall size -- print and mat -- of 11 x 14 inches. Prints must be securely mounted on sturdy mounting board. If matting is used, it must be securely attached. Improperly mounted/matted photos will not be hung. All titles, descriptions, or your signature, if you wish, must be put on the front of the mat or photo. No separate descriptions are permitted. No glass, frames, or canvas prints are permitted.

Photos will be hung in the Club's 13th floor lobby on Aug. 31 by the Club's Photography Committee, and will remain on display through Sept. 30. The opening reception for the exhibit takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6:30 pm. All members and their guests are welcome.
