Army secretary expected to swear in Judson as NPC President at inaugural gala, May 6

Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth is expected to swear in Jen Judson as the 115th president of the National Press Club at a black-tie optional, in-person gala on Friday, May 6.

The festive evening begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a program. Member tickets are $100 per person. Non-member tickets are $125 a person. Tickets are available online.

Judson is the land warfare reporter for Defense News where she covers the complicated bureaucracy of the Pentagon and Capitol Hill for policymakers and readers in the defense industry. 

Born and raised in Denver, Judson earned a master's degree in print journalism from Boston University and a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College in Ohio. 

She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband, Jim, and their two toddler sons, Frankie and Teddy.
