Author Describes 6-Year Imprisonment in Colombia, 6:30 pm Sept. 22

Ingrid Betancourt will discuss her book, “Even Silence Has an End: My Six Years of Captivity in the Colombian Jungle,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the conference rooms.

Admission is free for Club members, $5 for non-members. Books will be sold for $30. No outside books will be permitted. Betancourt will sign books after the talk.

Betancourt was abducted in 2002 while campaigning in the Colombian presidential election and was rescued in 2008. Her story provides a first-hand account of surviving a physical and psychological nightmare.
