Authors Examine Tea Party, 6:30 pm Sept. 10

Three authors of books on the tea party movement will discuss the wild card element of the 2010 elections at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, in the Murrow Room.

Panelists are:

FreedomWorks Chairman and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, author of "Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto" ($20)

New York Times reporter Kate Zernike, "Boiling Mad: Inside Tea Party America" ($25)

Harvard historian and New Yorker staff writer Jill Lepore, "The Whites of Their Eyes: The Tea Party’s Revolution and the Battle Over American History" (available in bookstores Oct. 12)

Tucker Carlson, editor in chief of The Daily Caller, will also participate.

The event is free for Club members, $5 for non-members. As a fundraiser for the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, no outside books will be permitted. Copies of the books will be available for purchase and signing.
