Big gingerbread person and bear plus decorating kit and holiday lunch available in online store
The Children’s Holiday party at the National Press Club is traditionally one of the highlights of the year for kids of all ages. Cakes, cookies, gingerbread decorating, Christmas carols and the magnificent tree in the lobby all vie for attention, rivaled only by a secret visit with Santa in the Holeman Lounge. This year the Club is offering the fixin’s to create that magical atmosphere in your own home or venue of your choosing.
For $50, the Club is offering in the online store a gingerbread cookie decorating kit along with two kid-focused lunch selections to create a complete holiday party for your creative geniuses. Members receive a 15% discount. Now grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and taller friends can provide that holiday experience for the young-ins of every family or friendship.
Every kit contains decorating gingerbread and lunch, ready for re-heating. This includes the perennial favorites, a ginormous gingerbread person and his friend, the bear, (approximately 10 x 6 inches each), decorating royal icing in a pastry bag and a sack of candies for eyes, noses, smiles or simple whimsy. The party lunch includes a meal to be reheated of corndogs with mustard and ketchup, mac & cheese, chili with cheddar cheese topping, a couple of fruit skewers and hot chocolate mix for a kid-beloved beverage.
The kits will be available for pick up or delivery ONLY Friday, December 11, Friday, December 18, Wednesday, December 23 and Thursday, December 24. The items can be picked up curbside at the National Press Building between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. or between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The kits can be delivered in the Metro DC area on the four pickup days for a $12 fee. All gingerbread figures are nut and dairy free but do contain eggs. The cookies are produced in a facility that does produce confections with nuts.
