Books & Brunch to discuss "Cryptocurrencies: Money, Trust and Regulation," Sept. 16

Books & Brunch will meet via Zoom at noon Saturday, Sept. 16, to discuss "Cryptocurrencies: Money, Trust and Regulation" by Oonagh McDonald.

Digital currencies, such as Bitcoin and Facebook's Diem, have changed how we think about money, banking and financial regulation as it currently exists. McDonald, a former member of British parliament and an international expert in financial regulation, examines the challenges and opportunities that cryptocurrencies pose for global finance, and the slow regulatory response. McDonald will join in the discussion.

To RSVP and receive a Zoom link, please email Fay Iudicello at [email protected] by Thursday, Sept 14.  Those who RSVP should expect to receive the invitation at 9 a.m. on Sept. 16.

Want to get a head start on the October book? Books & Brunch will discuss "Horse: A Novel"  by Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks on Saturday, Oct. 21.
