Books & Brunch to discuss "The Vanishing Half" April 17

Books & Brunch will meet via Zoom at noon Saturday, April 17, to discuss  "The Vanishing Half" by Brit Bennett.

Named a best book of the year by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time and NPR, "The Vanishing Half" examines sisterhood, Black identity and parenthood through the story of twins Stella and Desiree Vignes, who flee their home in rural Louisiana for New Orleans where one of the twins discovers she can pass as white.

For those who wish to get a head start on their reading, the group will discuss  "Twilight of Democracy" by Anne Applebaum on Saturday, May 15.
