Books & Brunch Meets at Noon, Oct. 16

The NPC’s Books & Brunch group will discuss “The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt” by T. J. Stiles, at noon on Saturday, Oct. 16, in the Fourth Estate Restaurant.

Free parking is available at the PMI garage on G Street between 13th and 14th streets for those who attend and buy a meal. Anyone who wants to park free needs to bring his or her PMI ticket to the Fourth Estate to be stamped.

At the end of the discussion, the group will select a non-fiction book for the Dec. 18 meeting. On Saturday, Nov. 20, the Books & Brunch group will discuss “Wolf Hall” by Hilary Mantel.
