Books & Brunch plans to meet via Zoom at noon on Saturday, Nov. 19, to discuss French Braid by Pulitzer Prize-winning Baltimore author Anne Tyler.

The new novel follows the Garrett family over six decades from a family vacation in the summer of 1959 through the COVID-19 pandemic present.

The New York Times writes: "For all its charm, French Braid is a quietly subversive novel, tackling fundamental assumptions about womanhood, motherhood and female aging."

To RSVP and receive a Zoom link, please email Fay Iudicello at [email protected] by Thursday, Nov. 17. Those who RSVP should expect to receive the invitation at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19.

Want to get a head start on the December nonfiction book? Books & Brunch is slated to discuss We Are Bellingcat: Global Crime, Online Sleuths, and the Bold Future of News, by Eliot Higgins. The group on Saturday will consider a new date for the December meeting as the original day, Dec. 17, conflicts with the children's holiday party.
