Books & Brunch will discuss 'The Shadow King' at Dec. 19 virtual meeting at noon

Books & Brunch will meet via Zoom at noon on Saturday, Dec. 19, to discuss The Shadow King by Maaza Mengiste.

This novel, short-listed for the 2020 Booker Prize, is set during Mussolini's 1935 invasion of Ethiopia, taking the reader back to the first conflict of WWII.

For those who wish to get a head start on their reading, the group will read Leadership in Turbulent Times by Doris Kearns Goodwin at the meeting scheduled for noon Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021.
