Brad Pitt stars in 'Moneyball'; Dinner and a Movie, Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m.

Members of the National Press Club are invited to watch the Oscar-nominated "Moneyball" starring Brad Pitt at a Dinner & a Movie event Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Reliable Source's McClendon Room.

Dinner and drinks will be available for purchase from the Reliable Source. Members and their guests may attend free of charge.

Based on journalist and author Michael Lewis' bestselling book of the same name, "Moneyball" features Pitt playing real-life Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane as he attempts to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. The movie could win up to six Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 26. Supporting actor Jonah Hill snagged a surprise Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Beane's number-crunching, Harvard-educated assistant based on true- life New York Mets Vice President Paul DePodesta.
