Broadcast/Podcast Team virtually hosts WHCA President Steven Portnoy Thursday, Feb. 10, at noon

Steven Portnoy, president of the White House Correspondents Association who has been CBS News Radio White House correspondent for five years, is slated to be a guest speaker at the National Press Club Broadcast/Podcast Team virtual meeting Thursday, Feb. 10, at noon.

The virtual meeting is open to all Club members. Members can get the Zoom link by signing up online.

In addition to discussing his experiences, Portnoy is expected to take questions.

A multiple RTDNA Edward R. Murrow award winner, Portnoy earned his bachelor’s degree at the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University and worked in local radio and TV in Syracuse while in school. He came to Washington in 2002 and was an intern in the White House unit of ABC News. He covered local news for three years at WMAL Radio before becoming an ABC News Radio correspondent in 2006. Before moving to the White House beat, he was a congressional correspondent for CBS News Radio.
