Can your fellow journos act? Find out when NPC members and McLean Drama Co. actors join for an evening of dramatic plays, Nov. 9

The National Press Club, in association with the McLean Drama Company(MDC), will host the premiere performance of “NPC/MDC Theater,” featuring a series of three award-winning, ten-minute plays performed by Club members alongside actors and directors from the McLean Drama Company.

This spirited event will be held in the Cosgrove Lounge on Friday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m.

The small ensemble cast of Club members and MDC actors will be directed by Carol Arthur of Studio Theater/MDC and Andrew Quilpa- The Coil Project‎/ MDC. This will be a casual evening of drinks, conversation and…acting! Scheduled in conjunction with the Club’s Taco Night, NPC/MDC Theater is your chance to take in a few shows with your drink and plate of tacos and to cheer on your fellow Club members.

Founded by the late Rachael Bail, a long-time Club member, the McLean Drama Company was created as a forum for new work and new plays, with an emphasis on the work of women in the theater.

For more than 15 years MDC has presented award-winning new plays at various theater venues throughout the local DMV area, including the Alden Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, FLASHPOINT- Mead Theater, Capital Fringe Festival and the Source Theater.
