Career Coaching Sessions Start Jan. 13, $80; RSVP Required

A four-week career coaching session for up to eight participants starts Jan. 13 with career counselor Jackie Jones at the cost of $80 for members, $200 for non-members. A former Washington Post editor and Penn State University lecturer, Jones will focus on retooling one's career amid New Year's resolutions. She will cover planning career goals for the coming year, how to make reasonable resolutions and how to stick with them to completion.

No matter your current employment status, these sessions will help you plan and prepare for the next level of your career with Jones' attention on getting people back on track amid a changing industry and targeting the work that plays to one's strengths. After four weeks, you'll be better focused to take your next steps in 2011, write a cover letter or target job searches.

The group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, Jan. 13 to Feb. 3, in the Eric Friedheim Library's Bloomberg Room. Because space is limited, participants must reserve with Nicole Nottingham at [email protected] or 202-662-7523. Payment must be received in advance to reserve a slot, and there are no refunds.
