Clam Bake, Jazz Night -- Two events for the price of one, April 25

It'll be a swinging night at the National Press Club Thursday, April 25. Two popular events -- the Club's annual Clam Bake Buffet and another in the series of Jazz and Dinner Nights -- will combine into a single happening in the Reliable Source restaurant and Truman Lounge.

Reservations already are rolling in for the combined event. The Clam Bake sells out annually, and the Jazz and Dinner event will add to the demand, so if you want to be a part of the gala evening, get your reservation in now.

The Clam Bake Buffet, which also serves as the "dinner" part of the Jazz and Dinner event, will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The buffet features traditional clam bake favorites. The jazz, featuring prominent vocalist Renee Tannenbaum and her trio, starts at 6 p.m.

Cost is $25 for Club members and $32 for nonmember guests, not including beverage, tax and gratuity. Buffet menu to follow soon.

Tannenbaum, a regular performer in such Washington venues as Blues Alley, Mr. Henry’s, Bistrot Lepic and the Smithsonian, recently completed a tour in Europe where she performed in Prague and Rome.
