Class on Location-based Tools, 1 pm Sept. 27; $20 for Members

A class on location-based tools is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, in the Bloomberg classroom. The fee is $20 for NPC members and $30 for non-members.

The class will explore location-based tools (such as Foursquare and Facebook Places), how they work and how they can be used to gather information, identify sources and promote yourself or your organization.

The fee can be paid by credit card, check, or member account. Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops, but computers will also be provided. The class will be taught by NPC Librarian Beth Shankle.
