Club makes physical improvements, virtual outreach amid pandemic

fitness doorsWith in-person operations suspended due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, National Press Club staff and leaders are working hard to bring programs and content to members at home while also making physical improvements for the future.

A small crew this week installed new glass doors to the 14th floor gym. The doors, the latest Fitness Center upgrade, will mitigate noise. Other upgrades completed over the last few months include new rubber flooring, LED lighting, cosmetic upgrades and new dumb bell sets. The gym also boasts the most socially connected and immersive indoor bike out there: the Peloton bike. The bicycle and other equipment will be available for Club members to use when we can safely reunite.

While we can't check out the new improvements in person,  Health and Fitness Director Terry Davis created an at-home exercise program that does not require equipment. You can access the 20-minute, full-body workout here
