Club member helps launch “Today’s IRELAND” channel on MHz Networks

For many Club members, Tony Culley-Foster, with his accent and sense of humor, has been the lilting voice of Ireland at the NPC. Now Culley-Foster will spread the news and culture to a wider audience as part of a team launching a new cable program, Today’s IRELAND.

Today's IRELAND will initially air five hours of daily content on MHz. The content will be available in 38 million households across the U.S. MHz is the network that has brought Al Jazeera and Russia Today to U.S. audiences.

At a time when traditional news broadcasts are cutting back and some are folding, the debut of Today’s IRELAND illustrates an area for media growth in an era of globalization. One of the unique aspects of the project is that Today’s IRELAND will carry news from Northern Ireland for a complete, all-Ireland presentation. In addition to news, there will be content about culture, music and sport. Some of the business related news will also provide a good look at current issues facing a member of the EU.
