Club member invites fellow NPC members to see her entry in Alexandria art show

National Press Club Member Carol Morgan invites fellow NPC members to a closing reception for an art show in which she has an entry, at the Art League Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia, on Thursday, April 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. She will be there, and you can talk to her about her bas relief, "Dance of the Nurses' Aides," that is on exhibit with works by other artists.

The theme of the show, "Screen Dream," is works inspired by movies and TV’s "stories, images, writers, actors, directors, and/or musical themes." Morgan said her artwork suggests the TV program "M*A*S*H." Incidentally, you may see that her piece is showing as SOLD! in the online gallery, but a representative of the gallery said a technical difficulty regarding their website resulted in that mislabeling for a number of works in the exhibit. The Morgan piece is still in the exhibit, which runs through May 4.

The exhibit is open from noon to 5 p.m. every day but Mondays and Tuesdays. The gallery is at 105 North Union Street in the historic Old Town section. Call Carol Morgan with questions at (202) 394-2060.
