Club member offers invitation to luncheon on trends in religious restrictions

Club member Mehmet Saracoglu invites National Press Club members to Rumi Forum`s luncheon on the Pew Research Center's sixth report on global religious restrictions on Tuesday, March 31, at 12 noon. The event will be at the Rumi Forum offices, 750 First Street, NE, Suite #1120, Washington, D.C.

The latest report, released in February, analyzes trends in religious restrictions and hostilities around the world through a rigorous and innovative quantitative analysis. The report highlights a general decline in social hostilities even as a significant portion of the world’s population remains in highly restrictive countries.

Peter Henne, Research Associate with the Pew Research Center and primary researcher on the report, will present findings from the report and answer questions. Paul Marshall, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, will respond to the report’s findings and moderate the discussion.
