National Press Club member Ron N. Hoffer, who photographed East Germany and Czechoslovakia, will talk about his experiences in a Virtual Book Rap at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21

Hoffer gathered those pictures and accompanying text in his book, From the Bronx to Berlin and Beyond.

He at is a specialist in water and environmental management. He has worked with the Environmental Protection Agency, the World Bank and state governments. He always has his camera with him and has become known as a documentary photographer.
