Club member publishes guidebook to D-Day battle

National Press Club member Kevin Dennehy has coauthored a new book commemorating an epic invasion that turned the tide against Nazi Germany, "The D-Day Assault, A 70th Anniversary Guide to the Normandy Landings."

This compact guidebook not only describes the most significant land invasion of World War II, but features detailed battlefield tours, identifies monuments and locates museums.

Learn the main attractions at both the American and British landing sites, including the airborne operations behind enemy lines. The "D-Day Assault, A 70th Anniversary Guide to the Normandy Landings," features easy-to-follow maps and tour, identifies where to stay, dine, and shop, locates war relics still at the battlefield sites, highlights the best D-Day museums and includes sections describing the exploits of brave soldiers and units. A special bonus chapter focuses on World War II in Paris.

"The D-Day Assault" is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Goodreads and other online stores. Find out more here.

Dennehy, a member of the Club's American Legion Post 20, coauthored the book with Professor Steve Powers, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and author of "The March to Victory, A Guide to World War II Battles and Battlefields from London to the Rhine."
