Club members can get discounted tickets to STC's 'Much Ado About Nothing' Press Freedom Night on Friday

The new production of "Much Ado About Nothing," which opens Nov. 10 at the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), is set in a cable TV newsroom. The co-anchors trade barbs behind the desk. Love is in the on-air light.

STC has planned a press freedom evening for Friday, Nov. 18, starting at 6:30 p.m. with a VIP reception followed by a performance of the Shakespeare classic at 8 p.m. Members of the National Press Club are invited to participate, with a $25 discount off the $150 tickets. Use this link to access the information, and enter the code PRESSCLUB25 to have $25 taken off the ticket price before you purchase.

The evening includes a cocktail reception before curtain with STC Artistic Director Simon Godwin, who will share his vision for the classic romantic comedy with members of the news media and press freedom communities. The event takes place at Harman Hall, 610 F Street NW.

Can't make it that night, but would like to see the play before it closes in early December? STC says the discount can be applied for anyone who might want to see it another time. Use the same code for purchasing tickets through Dec. 4.
